This movie is about a girl named Melanie Porter (Raven Symone) who has just graduated from high school. Her dream college is Georgetown University but her obsessive and protective father, James Porter (Martin Lawrence) has other plans. He has always wanted his daughter to attend Northwestern University because it's close to home. When Melanie's best friends, Katie (Margo Harshman) and Nancy (Brenda Song) invite her to go on a college road trip with them, Melanie instantly agrees. However, her dad jumps in just in time to insist that she go on a college road trip with him instead and meet up with her friends when they get closer to Georgetown. On this road trip, Daddy and Daughter bond more than they thought they would, conquering some obstacles along the way.xoxoxo
